3 Part miniseries uploaded to YouTube

A long time ago I read that you are going to create at least twenty videos for YouTube, before they start getting any good. I recently surpassed that number and I still don’t think they’re any good. Well, I mean I like them until I hit upload, that is when I start to question everything about them. This latest “series” I have uploaded was never meant to become a three-part series. But while making it, I realized that it was becoming too long, and since people have the attention span the size of a teaspoon, it needed to be split up. But hey, maybe that wasn’t such a bad thing as I could get more work “up there” more often. One thing I need to make a note of, Is to let the photographs breathe before editing them and throwing them in. Because I noticed my mind has changed about the first photo. There is a lack of defined subject in it for me. It lacks something to latch on too, so therefore your eye just wanders aimlessly throughout the scene. To me the experience of being there was the driving emotion behind the scene, and it blurred my critical vision. So, I went through more of the photos and found one that I cut into a square format and made black and white to simplify the palette. I was very drawn to that little “knob” (for the lack of a better word) on the ridge which sits in a deep contrast to the sky behind. I feel there is something in between that area that captures the mood I’m after. I think…
